The card for Wrestlemania 32 in Dallas is starting to make a lot more sense. It’s not going to become crystal clear until after “Fastlane” in two weeks, but many matches are still rumored, and there are still a lot of possibilities for the midcard to steal the show.

The midcard is actually really unpredictable because we don’t have much of an idea what’s going on with the Intercontinental title scene. The rumor is that a heel turn is coming for Dean Ambrose or Chris Jericho and there will be feud between them at Wrestlemania for the IC Championship.

That’s a great potential match, but if WWE ends up pulling the trigger on Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn, there isn’t going to be much left for someone like AJ Styles to do since the roster is still depleted.

On paper, WWE could do Styles vs. Undertaker for Wrestlemania instead of Braun Strowman, but that doesn’t seem like the best use of Styles Wrestlemania debut. However, the feud with Jericho could extend through “Fastlane” and allow Styles to transition into the Intercontinental Championship scene.

To me, Dean Ambrose has had a great run with Intercontinental Championship already, but he’s been put in the main event spotlight with Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns, and he’s someone to watch out for in the WWE World title scene in 2016. It all honesty, he may not need the IC title post-Wrestlemania, and that creates an interesting possibility for Wrestlemania.

If Jericho turns heel, he should do so against Styles and then target Ambrose and his championship. All Styles would need to do between “Fastlane” and Wrestlemania 32 is be the thorn in Y2J’s side and continue to stop him from winning the IC title. Eventually, he’ll assert himself into the program and set up a Triple Threat match.

In my opinion, the Intercontinental Championship match should be Dean Ambrose vs. Chris Jericho vs. AJ Styles, and I think that’s a match AJ should win.

Jericho is most likely leaving after Wrestlemania. Ambrose is ready for bigger and better things, and AJ could use a big win like that in his Wrestlemania debut to get over with the WWE Universe. That makes the most sense for all the talent involved and opens up the roster for so many feuds to give the IC title prestige.
